The Hottest Brand Ties At The Best Prices

When someone’s hanging themselves, will the noose not break the neck if it’s tied to tight?

FOR CSI/HISTORY REPORT=]
Should the noose be tied very tight around the neck or would that make the neck not be able to break?
Should the loop be placed at the very top of the neck when about to jump?

In fact a proper hanging ends with breaking the victim’s neck; that is the preferred mode for killing the victim. In most circles it is considered a bad and uncivilized hanging when the victim is strangled to death.

It might be argued that a looser noose it better than a tighter one. That results because there could be more snap when the victim reaches the end of her rope with a loose noose and the snap would be more inclined to break the neck. But I’m unclear on this point.

A few test hangings with loose and tight nooses on a dummy would help determine which is best…loose or tight for snapping the neck.
