What color tie should I wear with a maroon shirt and a navy blue jacket?

A green tie (a lime and forest green pattern);
A red tie with yellow in the pattern; or
A purple tie (violette and darker purple).
I have a dinner tomorrow night. It’s not a particularly fancy dinner, but the people there will be fairly concervative in dress. I want to make an impression, but in a good way.

No tie… conservatives dont wear ties unless they have power and then they are no longer conservative but ruthless and if you have no power they will ridicule you!
Or, given you will probably take the jacket off, does lime green really go with Maroon… silly question… how about Red… that is promoting colour blindness… and purple… hmm well out of the three… yes… but really… change your shirt… and look at the colour wheel!

I would of said lime-green, but you said you wanted to make a good impression. So I’d advise you to wear a grey tie instead. Grey goes well with those colours u just mention. But then again..no tie and a grey sweater vest instead is also great. Grey is sooo in for this season^_^!!!
