Does wearing a v-neck sweater over shirt/tie and under a coat make the look less formal?
It's for a job interview and I'm just wondering if I'm better off without the sweater.
I'm planning a white shirt, striped tie with diff shades of blue/white and a navy blue v-neck wool sweater.

It's fine for a job interview as long as it's in conservative colors, not bright purple or anything!
I think skinny ties looks best under sweaters, so you can see the shirt too!

I like the idea of a v-neck. It's professional and stands out a little more than a plain shirt and tie. Sweater vests in non offensive patterns also are great.
