Black V Neck, White Shirt, Black Striped Tie, With either Light grey pants or dark blue jeans…?
it is for a new years party at a upscale bar in NYC, some people are wearing jeans with shoes which is what I was going to wear but it says semi formal which means more dressier, noone is wearing a suit though because it gets hot in there…

If others are wearing jeans, go with the dark denim

I think the dark jeans would make it look cool.

I would go with the jean if you know other people or wearing them than you should be fine, just dont wear destressed or destroyed jeans it will look trashy and try to go for a darker colored jean

Black pants would look better but go with the grey.

Jeans. When you wear jeans in it it gives it a more semi formal feel, you know like half casual with the jeans and like dressy tops for the formal feel. If you wore pants with it, you’d be way to dressy somewhat like the suits.

I think that you would look nice with either the light grey pants or the blue jeans, in America I guess that you’d probbly get away with the jeans with an invite that says semi-formal. I would go with the jeans, it would be a more contemporary look. Have fun.

Definitely the dark blue jeans

Either would be fine, although I’d go with th dress slacks, since ’semi-formal’ would mean no jeans for me. If other people are doing jeans a pair of neat dark washes would look good. Pair either with bit loafers or something like that.
