Hello, I am a Catholic & attend Christian college. We actually had this discussion in my theology class. That belief is rooted in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

Catholics also say you shouldn’t eat meat on Friday but I can’t find that one in the Bible either.

Part of the laws in the old testament (sorry I can’t tell you exactly which part, I’m sure someone else will) say that men should not wear women’s clothes and vice versa.

that is really weird. i used to date a catholic girl(great until i met her fundie parents) and she had to wear a tie to work and she had no problem.
